JAMIE NELSON
Jamie Nelson began acting at Midland College in Fremont, NE. When not on the stage, he kept busy as an all-conference tennis player, a senior editor for the school's literary journal, and a BA major with a concentration in marketing and a minor in psychology, all of which left his theatre directors and English professors puzzled. A 2002 move to Alaska took him far away from his home stage, but Nelson quickly discovered the Kenai Performers and has landed roles such as Jack in David Ives' English Made Simple and Jeff Douglas in the upcoming Brigadoon. Veterans still best remember Jamie for his five-story rappel as a flying monkey in The Wiz, the highlights of which included a knotted rope and a distraught winged primate dangling a foot from the stage. Echo Lake was his first film role. |
